Real-person resident policy (Little Lives)

In Little Lives, you fill an island with "residents". A resident can be invented, based on you, or based on someone who agreed. This policy covers the last two.

The rules

  1. Invented by default. A resident is invented unless the person it is based on is you or has agreed. Each resident carries a likeness label: invented, self or consented.
  2. You, or someone who agreed. On a shared island, a resident based on a real person exists only if that person moves in themselves or approves a one-tap invite. You may not make a resident of a real person who has not agreed.
  3. Solo play stays private. In solo play, a resident "based on a friend" stays private to you: no clips, shared keepsakes, exports or public posts of that resident.
  4. Take-down at any time. Anyone can have their likeness removed from any island, at any time, with no reason needed. This overrides the island owner. Email [EMAIL TBD] or use the in-app control [CONFIRM when built]. We aim to act within [DAYS TBD] days.
  5. No jokes at a real person's expense. The Game Master is told never to joke about a real person's body, identity, health, money or private life, and not to bring in facts from outside the game. Jokes aim at situations, not at the people behind residents.
  6. Romance is opt-in. Off by default. Allowed only for adults, only if the owner of each resident opts in, and never in kids mode. Nothing sexual, ever.
  7. Minors. Loudroll is 18+. A resident may not be based on a real person under 18, including your own child. A parent-hosted kids mode is not part of this launch; if added, it will use invented or family residents only. [LAWYER: confirm; COPPA and state minors' laws.]
  8. No targets. Do not create residents of celebrities, politicians, coworkers or exes to mock or harass them.
  9. No deception. Do not use a resident to impersonate a real person to others.
